The first of three examples for that McLaren 720S Daniel Ricciardo Edition supercar has arrived in Australia, an exclusive celebration of the Perth-born, eight-time race-winning Formula 1 driver.
Unveiled in September, the first copy of the limited-edition 720S can be seen on the streets of Melbourne – pictured here in the home of the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix, Albert Park Circuit.
Three examples of the supercar – with reference to Ricciardo’s number 3 – are being built as part of a collaboration between the Sydney and Melbourne McLaren showrooms and the British brand’s MSO personalization department.

The McLaren Daniel Ricciardo Edition 720S (as it is officially called) is done in Papaya Spark and Burton Blue (as used on the 2021 McLaren F1 Car) and adds carbon fiber rocker panels with Ricciardo’s signature “3” engraved on them is doors and ‘One of Three’ plaques.
No mechanical changes are detailed, i.e. the regular 720S supercars 530 kW / 770 Nm 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 and seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission likely to be transmitted.
“We are very pleased that the first of this exclusive series is arriving in Australia, which feels at home on the tarmac around Albert Park like its namesake Daniel Ricciardo. Complete with the Australian flag gracing the front hips, this special edition model is the perfect celebration of our Perth-born racing driver – we love to see him hit Australian roads, “said George Biggs, Commercial Executive Director, McLaren Automotive.
It’s not clear who bought each of the three cars, nor how much they cost – but expect a reasonable increase above the $ 489,900 before the cost of the road sticker affixed to the “standard” 720S in Australia .
