These days, Ferrari probably sells more branded baseball caps than cars (possibly due to a very exclusive buying system). His scarlet sun hats can be seen on the heads of recreational car fans around the world. It’s a classic look, but other products may lack the finesse of a Ferrari fedora.

That’s what we’d like to expose today, the goods and accessories from automakers that you wouldn’t be seen dead in.

It could be a Mercedes-brand Hawaiian shirt or a fridge with a golf tag, or maybe you prefer more modest machines and would go for a VW-branded Beetle-shaped backpack instead?

And while I’m a fan of F1 caps, some of the other products that racing teams put their logos on seem just plain weird.

At a recent Russian Grand Prix, customers were able to buy a T-shirt that featured President Vladimir Putin as a racing driver. And who could forget the classic black and gold look of a Rich Energy Haas F1 Team mug?

In addition to products from the largest automobile manufacturers and sports teams, there are all up-and-coming apparel manufacturers that make T-shirts, hoodies and hats interspersed with logos for anyone interested in cars.

If you work hard and save your pennies, you too could own a t-shirt “My other car is a Porsche” or a hoodie with the mantra “Some do drugs, others pop bottles, we solve our problems with wide open throttles”.

I’m sure this makes you a great conversationalist at parties.

From socks to sweaters and posters to pants, automakers have put their logos and mantras on everything over the years. But what’s the worst automotive commodity you’ve seen or sadly owned in the wild? Let us know the worst offenders in the comments below.
