Alpine rider Esteban Ocon got Mazepin for the secret Santa Claus and he made up for it with a funny but wholesome gesture for the Russian. Ocon sent him a couple of sweet marzipan parcels for Christmas and the Haas driver is sure to be delighted.

Mazepin shared the secret Christmas present he received through his Instagram handle with a message that read, “Thank you, secret Santa Claus.”

According to Food and Wine, “Marzipan is essentially a paste made from sugar and almonds, has been made in the Middle East and the Mediterranean for centuries, and is particularly valued as a sculptural material.”

Ocon must have thought that through and the fans are sure to confirm his choice this time around. The Haas driver has not had a good rookie season, but with these candies he would surely enjoy a break from the sport.

Dark Clouds over Haas Team before the big race

The 2021 F1 season was an unforgettable one for the Haas team. The two rookie drivers couldn’t open their points and the team is at the lower end of the constructors’ standings. But now you are faced with a terrifying shortage of spare parts in the garage, even bigger demons. The two Haas pilots suffered an accident at the Saudi Arabia GP in which the chassis was severely damaged.

The team has enough resources to use the car this weekend, but they cannot afford another accident in Abu Dhabi. “We still have one race ahead of us, we have enough spare parts to rebuild the cars, but we don’t have enough spare parts if we have an accident in Abu Dhabi,” said Günther Steiner, as reported by Motorsport.
