the highlights of four races in Baku!

A trip to Azerbaijan has been on the calendar every year except 2020 since 2016. The Baku City Circuit has already provided special moments at its four Grands Prix and GPblog looks back on the highlights.

2017 – An angry hag

The entire 2017 race can be considered a highlight, but one of the things that really stood out was that Sebastian Vettel purposely drove in Lewis Hamilton, glowing white with anger. 2018 – The crash of Verstappen and Ricciardo

For many Red Bull fans, the 2018 Azerbaijan Grand Prix will not be a highlight. But Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo gave the audience a great fight that unfortunately ended in tears. After the fight for laps it went wrong. Ricciardo collided with Verstappen’s back, resulting in a goalless day for Red Bull Racing.

2018 – “Ericsson beat us”

Romain Grosjean’s last years in Formula 1 were marked by clumsy actions and often poor results. At the 2018 Baku GP, the Frenchman managed to ram his Haas F1 into the wall during a safety car. His race engineer said he knew the reason for the crash: “I think Ericsson met us,” said the on-board radio. But that wasn’t the case, Grosjean did it all by himself.
