Monaco F1 rookie Schumacher fell in the closing stages of the final practice session in Casino Square on Saturday and destroyed the left side of his Haas VF-21.
The damage meant that Schumacher could not take part in qualifying, so that he was the last to start for the race on Sunday.
It raised concerns that Haas might be forced to change the chassis, but team principal Gunther Steiner announced after qualifying that checks had shown it was salvable.
“The damage is pretty big, as you could see – front, rear wing, the entire left side suspension, sidepod,” said Steiner.
“But the chassis is intact. So we don’t have to change the chassis. We should be fine for tomorrow. But the damage is pretty great. “
When asked how much damage had been done in the crash, Steiner estimated the value at “between 300,000 and 500,000 USD”.
“That’s what these cars cost, you know?” he said. “I’ve always said the front wing alone costs $ 150,000.”

Steiner added that despite the crash, which was Schumacher’s second part of the weekend after a brush stroke at Massenet in FP2, there weren’t any concerns about a parts shortage.
The German rookie was disappointed with the crash and believed he could keep up with the Williams and Alpine cars in the first quarter.
“For us, RP3 is always the opportunity to prepare the qualification as well as possible,” said Schumacher.
“I had the feeling that we were in a very good rhythm and a very good place to start the qualification, only from the mental side, but also from the car side, which is very unfortunate because we obviously didn’t make it, to start the qualification.
“But we had high hopes of being at least in the mix with the Williams and even the Alpine. I think there were a lot of great ones [pace] That was shown in the free practice and I think we can get that into the race tomorrow.
“Everything is open to the race. So yes, we will prepare as best we can. “
