Mick Schumacher had to regret what could have been after the “disturbing” contact with Kimi Räikkönen in the F1 São Paulo Grand Prix.
As he approached the Senna Esses side by side at the beginning of the 11th lap, Schumacher caught a moment of the wheels spinning, which led to a collision and a badly damaged front wing on the Haas.

Regarding the incident, Schumacher said: “It’s annoying because I think we had the right pace to definitely be ahead of the Williams, so it’s unfortunate, but we’re learning from these things.
“So I think the little bad thing I get is really useful and now I know the line.
“I think those corners, because it’s the nature of a left-right sequence, obviously everyone wants to try to make the most space possible out of them.
“I think we hit the tires first and then he oversteered a little and my front wing got stuck.”
In the media session on Thursday, the two riders sat next to each other and joked that it was a shame that they had not ridden bike to bike more often this year.
Schumacher said on this occasion: “Unfortunately, I didn’t have much to fight with him.
“I would have loved to have had the chance to really face him, but we’ll probably have to do it somewhere else, on an ice rink or something.”
In response, Raikkonen joked back: “Or I could slow down and we could do a few races?”
