
Haas driver Mick Schumacher is looking forward to his first race in Mexico and is expecting an interesting experience on the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez race track. The German rookie expressed his expectations of the track in terms of performance and is looking forward to experiencing the lively fan atmosphere at the Mexico GP 2021.
With the only American team on the grid, Schumacher has had an interesting rookie season in F1 so far. After a successful racing event in Austin last week, his team is expecting similar fan support in the neighboring country.

Schumacher gives an outlook on the Mexico GP race weekend and highlights his challenges
In the team preview, Schumacher spoke about his preparations for the Mexican GP and said:
“I wouldn’t say there was any special training or preparation, but there is definitely the assurance that the car will feel different, the car will be different on the track and the engine will be less powerful.”
Given the challenges on the route, the German said:
“There will be various difficulties and maybe different perspectives that we need to consider as to how the car will behave here. For me personally, I don’t really notice it. “
Regarding his expectations for the race weekend, Schumacher said:
“Fortunately, I had the opportunity to drive the simulator, so I have a good idea of what to expect. I’m really looking forward to it, it felt really good and I think it will be a lot of fun. “
The Mexico GP event, nicknamed “F1ESTA”, is one of the liveliest transatlantic events on the calendar, mainly due to its motorsport-loving fans who add a different element to the racing atmosphere.

In anticipation of the great fan atmosphere at the Mexico GP weekend, Schumacher said:
“I’m really looking forward to seeing the Mexican fans. I was told that it is very nice and the passion you feel when you drive there, especially to drive through the stadium part, so it is exciting to drive there. “
The German added,
“I think if you have the opportunity to listen during the race, it definitely motivates you to do well. So I’m looking forward to hearing the crowd cheering and doing my best there. ”

For the former F2 champion and son of the seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher, the 2021 season was a learning curve for what is ahead of 2022. So far, the German has managed to qualify and outperform his teammate Nikita Mazepin on most race weekends.
