Schumacher has surpassed teammate Nikita Mazepin so far. Last weekend’s Monaco Grand Prix was the only time that the Russian managed to stay ahead.

Just as his father Michael was a contact person for a young hag, the favor now seems to be returned as Schumacher forges his own career in sport.
“There [is loads of] Advice that he gave me, “said Schumacher.” Most of them are secret because they come from a competitive sport.
“But I have a lot of respect for him and I think we can call that a friendship, which for me is very nice. He has so much experience and [there is] so much can i learn from him.
“The biggest advice really is never to forget why I am here because we love the sport and I think if you lose this you are in the wrong place.
“I enjoy my life, I do the best in the world, so I think it’s great to have someone like him who gives me advice.”
Schumacher draws strength from the team
The GP weekend in Monaco was the most turbulent of Schumacher’s young career, as two falls in training put him on his heel before he crossed the finish line behind Mazepin.
After the FP3 crash that excluded him from qualifying, Schumacher was greeted by the Haas mechanics in his garage, and the German pointed to the support of his team as an aid to his development.
When asked how the team influenced its progress, Schumacher replied: “Massive. Of course the team is a big part of my development, but it’s also a big part of my trust.
“I am withdrawing this trust from the team that you give me, they have great confidence in us drivers. I have great confidence in my team and that is the bond that is currently building up at a very steep level.”
“That will make these subtle differences at the end of the schedule because you have such a strong connection with the team.”
