Mick Schumacher blamed his early Grand Prix spin in Bahrain for not declaring himself 100 percent satisfied with his Haas debut.
In contrast to rookie team-mate Nikita Mazepin, who experienced a miserable weekend with several turns and an exit from the race after only three corners, Schumacher went about his business quietly in the laps and made very few mistakes.

The only flaw occurred on lap four after restarting the safety car, when the German turned his VF-21 when he stepped on the throttle a little too early.
Regarding his performance, Schumacher said: “In general we are 90 percent happy, 10 percent not because of the mistake I made when restarting the safety car with the spin.
“Fortunately, the car was still drivable and everything was still in order, so that I could continue and pass on my experiences over the race weekend.”
Instead of panicking, Schumacher claimed he was immediately focused on the issue at hand.
“I actually tried to understand why it happened and understood it pretty quickly, so it was good,” added Schumacher.
“After that it was a bit of a shame that I wasn’t in the pack and could at least try to get a few laps closer to the guys.
“Fortunately, I got away with blue flags and caught up with Nicholas [Latifi]. I was able to get a feel for what it is like to follow a car closely and with DRS and all.
“I felt like I learned a lot and hopefully I can turn that into something positive for the next race.”
