Former F1 driver Romain Grosjean has achieved great success in the IndyCar series, much more so than with Haas in F1. Both fans and Grosjean are aware of this; the driver even encouraged aspiring racers to expand into the alternate series. While Grosjean shared his experience with fans on his YouTube channel, the driver used Twitter to share some interesting comments.

Grosjean recently posted an IndyCar vlog covering the end of his rookie season in Portland, Laguna Seca, and Long Beach. Since the video also showed some impressive highlights from the races, the fans were not only happy about the well-deserved success, but also took the opportunity to joke a bit.

However, in acknowledging the positive comments, the Dale-Coyne driver may have forgotten to filter out the comments on his previous chapter.
One comment read: “Romain Grosjean has more overtaking maneuvers in two races at Indycar than in two years in F1.” After it became part of the Tweet, the subtle dig didn’t go unnoticed by fans. A positive comment in a way, Grosjean would have done better.
Even so, the comment is in some ways true. Grosjean’s rookie season in the American series has been so much more rewarding for the driver than his years chasing the rest of the Formula One grid. Grosjean is now on the podium and recognized for what he really is: a great racing driver.

In the rookie championship, the driver even finished second with 272 points and one pole position. In the championship standings with 43 drivers, he even took 15th place. His former teammate at Haas, Kevin Magnussen, is in 42nd place.
It was an interesting year for the Swiss, who will now change teams in 2022. He is now moving to one of the biggest names in the series, Andretti Autosport.
While everyone is excited to see the driver thrive in his new environment, a familiar voice closer to his F1 family was happiest. Günther Steiner, Team Principal at Haas, admits that he is happy for his driver, even though the two are too busy to keep in touch.

Steiner had said, “I saw the race at Laguna Seca and it looks like he is enjoying it, which I am very happy about because he was an integral part of Haas in making Haas really run.”

Steiner is also pleased that there is space for Grosjean in Andretti. “I hope he’s fine, he now has the opportunity to have a very good car. I mean, his car this year didn’t seem too bad, he fought so fair with other people. “

When Grosjean finally gained a foothold at IndyCar, the fans couldn’t be more enthusiastic about the driver. But maybe we can loosen him up for his Haas years.
