
Qualifying for the Austrian Grand Prix was a pleasure. Tension until the last minute and a result with Lando Norris on the front row that few had predicted. In the qualifying duels, however, this leads to fewer postponements.
With nine qualifying sessions behind us, the relationships between teammates are clear in most cases. There is a clear number one at Red Bull Racing, AlphaTauri, Alfa Romeo, Haas and Williams. Pierre Gasly and George Russell are both unbeaten.

Ecclestone: “Hamilton is no longer absolute number one”
McLaren is also moving in this direction. Especially if Ricciardo continues to do so badly. He’s had all the problems with the McLaren this season, but the Red Bull Ring is particularly difficult for him. Last week the gap to Norris was already big and it only got bigger. The lap time difference was now almost a second.
