
The United States Grand Prix is one of the few Formula 1 events that tends to capture the presence of some familiar faces either in the paddock or in the garage itself. Well, this time the Haas home team had a visit on the Mick Schumacher side of the garage.

It was Mick’s very own sister, Gina-Maria Schumacher. The 24-year-old German spent her Saturday spinning in the Haas pit lane and even took a picture of herself in the cockpit of Schumacher’s F1 car. Haas went to Twitter to reveal the same thing.

They also wrote a caption that read “Siblings in the seat”.
While Mick decided to follow in his father’s footsteps by entering the world of open wheel racing, his older sister Gina went her own way instead. The German is a lay rider and even received a gold medal in Switzerland in 2017.
Hard day in the office for Haas’ Mick Schumacher
Schumacher Jr. has simply not been able to take a break since joining Formula 1. Haas has barely improved since 2020. If anything, the American team is only further away from the rest of the grid and that’s fair to say Mick signed his contract at the worst possible time with the team themselves, which were looking for ground.

16 races without wins, podiums or even a point. And despite the lower hopes, some would have liked Haas to get a point or two in front of the home fans. Unfortunately, that shouldn’t be, because none of the drivers made it into the top 15.

And this result comes after 3 drivers have left the race and consequently only 17 cars have run. Mick came home on P16 and the only positive thing is that the German managed to beat his own teammate Nikita Mazepin.

Looking ahead, nothing is likely to change for Haas and it wouldn’t be a huge shock if they left this season with 0 points. But, despite the tremendous odds, can Mick or Nikita make a raid to score a point for the struggling Haas before the end of this season?
