After the emotional “Schumacher” documentary from Netflix, many Formula 1 fans are excited to see whether they will see the legend of the sport again in the near future. Schumacher suffered life-changing injuries in a skiing accident eight years ago and has since lived an extremely private life with his wife Corinna and children Mick and Gina-Marie. In the documentary released earlier this month, Corinna gave a rare update about her husband. She said, “Everyone misses Michael, but Michael is here, different, but here. He still shows me how strong he is every day.
“We are together. We live at home together. We do therapy. We do everything to make Michael better and to make sure he is comfortable.
“And just to make him feel like our family, our connection. And no matter what, I’ll do whatever I can. We will all do it, we will move on with our lives. “
Corinna also says in the film that her family “protects” Schumacher because he wants to protect his privacy.
But son Mick, who drives for the Haas F1 team, was upset when he discovered fake photos allegedly circulating on the internet of the Schumacher family.
During the 2019 series, Mick said, “These photos are often published because they supposedly show me as a child with my father.
“To clarify: These pictures do NOT show me and neither do Gina.
“I’m sorry for the people in these photos. I can only appeal to all media to remove them from their archives. “
The pictures seemed to show Schumacher in one photo with a young Mick and in another with a boy and a girl.
However, it was not clear who the children were in these pictures.
A similar incident occurred in 2016 when a “friend” of the Schumacher’s tried to sell photos of Michael for around $ 1 million (£ 740,000).
According to reports, the media were given the opportunity to publish the first images of the German icon since his tragic accident.
According to the broadcaster RTL, the person took photos of Schumacher while he was lying in his bed before trying to sell them.
The German public prosecutor’s office in Offenburg later confirmed that “a stranger” had taken “secret” pictures and offered them for “large sums of money”.

This then sparked an investigation in which prosecutors called it a “violation of his personal sphere of life” and an invasion of his privacy.
Schumacher’s manager Sabine Kehm refused to involve the family in the issue: “Michael’s health is not a public issue, so we will not comment on it.”
Ms. Kehm is one of many key personalities in Schumacher’s career who has supported the family’s desire for privacy since the skiing accident.
In 2016, she said that the German F1 star had told her that his dream was “to disappear” one day.
She said: “In general, the media never covered Michael and Corinna’s personal lives.
“When he was in Switzerland, for example, it was clear that he was a private person.
“In a long discussion, Michael once said to me: ‘You don’t need to call me for the next year, I’m leaving.’

Another close friend of Schumacher’s racing career is Jean Todt, former Ferrari boss and President of the FIA.
He recently announced that he still visits the seven-time world champion regularly and also starred in the Netflix documentary.
In the film, he gave further insights into Schumacher’s thoughts during his driving career and explained how the German struggled with the limelight.
Mr. Todt said: “He was looking for a normal life and it was difficult for him to understand why he could not lead this normal life.
“It’s true, he could be unsympathetic at times. Because there were so many demands on him. It was often too much and confined to him.
“Because he’s an extremely reserved person, shy. And sometimes that was his way of dealing with his shyness. “
