Mercedes and Haas have confirmed the completion of important steps in preparation for the Formula 1 World Championship in 2022.
In the next year the field will be shaken up by a comprehensive revision of the technical regulations, especially with regard to aerodynamics and the use of larger tires.
Mercedes completely dominated the turbo-hybrid era, which debuted in 2014, winning all eight team championships and all drivers’ titles during this period, except for the last season.
Less than two weeks after Lewis Hamilton’s heartbreak when making the decision in Abu Dhabi, Mercedes foresaw the revolutionary W13.
The English-German team is the first to publicly heat its new car for 2022 via a video posted on social media.

Haas, meanwhile, is hoping for a drastic turnaround under the new rules after surviving a bad season.
After finishing fifth in the team standings in 2018, he was ninth in the following two seasons and goalless this year.
The team went to great lengths to sacrifice their 2021 campaign to maximize their new car, which has now passed a mandatory crash test.
The VF-22 will be driven by returning youngsters Mick Schumacher and Nikita Mazepin.
The F1 pre-season tests will start on February 23rd (local time) at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
