“Looks like he needs it”

"Looks like he needs it"

Christian Horner saw both cars bump into when Valtteri Bottas braked heavily in the first corner on the wet Hungaroring track. The Red Bull Racing team principal saw that Sergio Perez could not continue his journey while Verstappen had to complete another 70 laps with a badly damaged RB16B.

World Championship: Hamilton dethrones Verstappen as leaders

“Looks like he needs it”

Verstappen frustrated: “Brought out again by a Mercedes …”

This not only costs the Austrian racing team many points in Hungary. Again there is a lot of damage and that will be in the papers. “It looks like we’re going to have to put Sergio in a new engine. The mechanics did wonders to get this car.” [Verstappen] Run. You had to straighten lines, it’s just very frustrating. “

Verstappen has lost downforce

Despite the repairs, Verstappen had many problems with the balance of his car. “He drove half a car. The whole right side of the bargeboards was missing and he probably had less downforce than Mick Schumacher, ”said Horner, explaining the fact that Verstappen couldn’t get past the Haas F1 car for a long time.
