Romain Grosjean is still hoping for a dignified retirement from Formula 1. The Frenchman left the sport after 2020 to race in the IndyCar Series, but a nasty crash before the end of the season prevented him from saying goodbye to F1 as he had wished.

Grosjean gave a terrible farewell to Formula 1 in 2020. The Frenchman crashed very hard into the wall at the Bahrain Grand Prix and was unable to drive the last two Grands Prix of the year due to his injuries. Toto Wolff and Mercedes later let it be known that they wanted to give Grosjean a worthy farewell.
