2022 brings new regulations, new tyres, a new desire to get through the season and a whole new rider line-up.
In 2022 we expect tighter circuits and an inspiring future with the new rule changes. Just like the change of drivers from one team to another in winter, there are also shifts in salaries. Let’s find out below how much the drivers will earn this season.
Lewis Hamilton leads the race in money
Reigning world champion Max Verstappen would receive $25 million, excluding winning bonuses. By comparison, his British arch-rival Lewis Hamilton still tops the payroll with $40m if he decides to continue his F1 journey.
Valtteri Bottas has left the Silver Arrows to embark on a new journey with Alfa Romeo and will rake in $10 million. While the new kid on the German bloc, George Russell, is set to make $5 million in the new year.
