Günther Steiner has announced that his Haas team is ready to score points in Formula 1 next season after the team has perfected its qualification strategy to advance to Q2 in Turkey.
Mick Schumacher started 14th for the Turkish Grand Prix after driving a breathtaking lap in the first part of qualifying and throwing Daniel Ricciardo into the elimination zone.

The German rookie was deprived of the chance to advance into Q3, as the track developed late and Lance Stroll spun on soft tires in front of Schumacher on his last lap.
A positive race result fizzled out on lap two when Schumacher was hit by Fernando Alonso, but Steiner was impressed with how the session went and believed that this was proof that the team can score points with a competitive car going forward.
“That was my personal greatest satisfaction to see how the team act,” said Steiner.
“We’re ready for next year, we’re fine. If the situation arises, yes, we’ll make mistakes too, but there was a chance and it was like they’d work together for three or five years.”
“Mick was very calm, his race engineer did a great job and has always stayed calm. Especially that Ayao steps in as Nikita’s race engineer, so there was no chief race engineer and everyone did a good job.
“Everyone did what they had to do, the mechanics, I mean, everyone just did a really good job.
“That made me happy because now I’m happy, we’re ready. If we get a better car, the racing team will be ready to score some points.”
