Haas' Günther Steiner: "We had an argument between the two drivers, but they cleaned the air over it"

Guenther Steiner says he Uralkali Haas F1 Team Riders have the air after their last tangle during the Italian Grand Prix, and the team is making progress with both riders to ease the tension between them.

Steiner, Team Principal at Haas, says the talks between the two drivers went well after the race and he hopes the problems that linger between them can go away as they try to keep the team in the remaining races of the 2021 season move forward.

“A pretty exciting race for us in every way,” said Steiner. “Of course we had another collision between the two drivers, but they cleared the air over it.

“What was said was said and they are good. We’re making progress on this side and hope we can keep it that way. I think our two guys have learned from the last few races, are now trying to keep going and trying to take on the suggestions we as a team give them and hopefully we will get less of it in the future, even if it happened today.

“If you know about it, it’s good, it is part of learning and luckily the car wasn’t that badly damaged.”
