Haas team boss Günther Steiner has announced that the team is “at the limit” with its rear wing bending.
After the Spanish Grand Prix, when footage of Red Bull’s rear wing “limboing” surfaced, the FIA informed the teams that stress tests would be stepped up from the French GP to prevent illegal movements.

When asked if Haas needs to make changes to comply with the policy, Steiner said, “We are still reviewing all of the wings.
“We’re very close to the limit, but we don’t have a system for it so it won’t affect us.
“I don’t know how exactly it affects other cars like the Williams.”
He continued to press on the matter, adding that there is “very slim” chance the team will have to change wings.
“If we have to do something, we just have to stiffen up a bit on site,” added Steiner.
“But we don’t quite know yet because we go over each wing to see how stiff they are, but there isn’t much of an impact.”
At the weekend in Monaco, both Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff and McLaren colleague Andreas Seidl expressed their displeasure with the delayed introduction of the directive. Both were of the opinion that it should have been enforced immediately.
But unlike his colleagues, Steiner said: “It would have been very difficult to do this [the test] for Baku to be honest.
“It depends on how much you bend because some pretty essential parts need to change.
“I don’t know all the details, but it would have been very difficult not only to do them, but you have to calculate and it has to be very safe.
“This part has a lot of load so it was the right way to do it, give a little time so it can at least be done right.”
