Romain Grosjean has partnered with the WHO Foundation to wear the logo while participating in the IndyCar series.

The Frenchman has thrown his support behind the WHO Foundation, an independent grant-awarding body that supports the work of the World Health Organization.

Grosjean makes his debut for Dale Coyne Racing with Rick Ware Racing this season in IndyCar, where he will wear the WHO Foundation logo on his racing suit and helmet.

“I am proud to support the important work of the WHO Foundation and WHO,” he said.

“Global health is more important than ever and I look forward to using my voice to raise awareness of the major health issues of our time.”

It comes after the former Haas F1 team driver survived a violent crash in Bahrain last year.

The events in Bahrain make Grosjean more determined to support critical health priorities, including the global response to ending the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Romain is an inspiration to anyone faced with a challenge,” said Anil Soni, WHO Foundation board chairman.

“We are very excited to share its incredible reach and unique story with the WHO Foundation community in bringing the world of sport into global health priorities.”

One of Grosjean’s first tasks will be to support the organization with their “upcoming vaccine equity campaign”.
