“Any challenge for them is good” – Haas’ Guether Steiner

"Any challenge for them is good" - Haas' Guether Steiner

These weekends French Grand Prix marks the beginning of a brand new challenge for Uralkali Haas F1 Team driver Mick Schumacher and Nikita Mazepinas the first triple header of the season in Paul Ricard racetrack.

Haas team boss Guenther Steiner has a very difficult challenge over the next three weeks and is leading its rookie drivers through one of the most demanding aspects of the FIA Formula 1 World Championship Calendar. However, the Haas team boss is optimistic about the triple header and believes that it is good for the rookies to experience a triple header at the beginning of their Formula 1 careers.

“I think any challenge is good for her. You will be exposed to the things that just happen in Formula One. It’s a triple header, you can’t change it, you have to deal with it. Sometimes it’s good because there’s no time for distractions between races. You are both young, have a lot of energy and want to do racing.

“For me, it’s not a bad thing for her. You just have to stay focused and we’ll see how much you can do that. I think it’s good for them to be under this pressure in the first part of their career, not just the season. I am sure you will get along very well with it. “

More fans will also return to the championship this weekend, with 15,000 per day allowed to compete in the French Grand Prix, a sign of normality for Steiner.

“For me, the most important thing is to overcome this pandemic so that everyone can move freely again – I’m looking forward to that. If we can get people to our races, that’s great, of course, because then people can see that normality is just around the corner. We have to work hard to get there.

“An event with spectators is much more inspiring for everyone who takes part in Formula 1. I am happy and hope that we will soon see full racetracks again. “
