More than his starting position, however, something strange happened after the session that caught everyone’s attention. Some time after the Spaniard left the Parc Ferme, there was another conversation on Sainz’s radio channel.
This raised a lot of questions considering he wasn’t even in the car, nor the crew in the pit wall. So where did this sound come from?

Well, after an investigation, it wasn’t Sainz who communicated with his team. It was more of an F3 team communicating with one of its drivers, although it was unclear who it actually was.
What was the reason?
Sainz’s radio station woke up shortly after he got out of the car and went to his garage. There could have been a number of reasons why this could have happened.
The truth, however, is that despite many assumptions, Sainz apparently forgot to turn off his dashboard, which left his radio channel open.
Not knowing that from Ferrari an F3 team (possibly Trident) infiltrated the channel to communicate with their driver (possibly Jack Doohan).
The communication between the two did not stop when the Ferrari was pushed to the start of the pit lane for the regular FIA check. These radio messages could have happened during the second race, which took place immediately after F1 qualifying.
DIVE DEEPER
Is this the first time the Ferrari radio has been infiltrated?
The answer is no. This is not necessarily the first time Ferrari has been in such a position. In 2020, Charles Leclerc claimed to have heard the voice of Lewis Hamilton on his radio channel.
During the third practice session at the Portuguese Grand Prix, the Monegasque reported to his race engineer that he heard Hamilton communicate with his engineer.
“Why do I listen to other people’s radio? I heard Hamilton on the radio. Now I hear an engineer or someone, ”he said.
