Qatar hosted a Formula 1 race for the first time last weekend and will be featured regularly on the F1 calendar for teammate Carlos Sainz from 2023 onwards.

Leclerc and Sainz are competitive on and off the track. When the duo play fun social media games, Leclerc and Sainz want to get ahead of each other, and this time it wasn’t that different.

The duo always have fun playing. Both strive to win, but at the same time indulge in jokes that are revered by the F1 community.

After the Qatar Grand Prix, Charles and Carlos were asked if Qatar would be on the calendar next year. Leclerc initially gave the correct answer, but soon changed it. Meanwhile, Sainz thought the answer was yes, but soon corrected himself and said, “No 23. Sorry,” Leclerc soon replied with a laugh and said, “Oh no 23.” Both Carlos and Charles burst out laughing and Leclerc said, “I’m right.”

How did Sainz and Leclerc perform in Qatar?

The Spaniard started the race on Sunday in fifth, while his team-mate from Monaco had to start from a disappointing 13th place on the grid. Leclerc hoped to save his weekend with a good finish.

The Monaco racing driver kept his word and finished eighth. His team mate crossed the finish line in seventh place ahead of him. The Italian team picked up ten points from the weekend and hopes to pick up even more in the last two races of the season.
