I wish I was up there with Verstappen: Charles Leclerc
As reported by Planetf1, the Monegasque native mentioned after what he saw this year that he would choose the Red Bull driver to take the title. But he also said he’s more focused on himself and his progress than on the fight for the title.
“I miss the race at the front,” said Leclerc.

“I wish I was up there with Verstappen. He has shown that he is ready to win and is leading the championship. It would be great if a youngster won the world championship.
“But I concentrate on myself. I want to win so I don’t really pay any attention to others, ”said Charles.

Ferrari is Leclerc’s dream, even if it didn’t win
Charles Leclerc admits he is currently unable to win the Prancing Horses. However, he is confident that they will do it again in the future. He also mentioned that his dream is to win races in Formula 1 with the Italian team.

“I’ve always seen Ferrari as my dream, even if we’re not on the same level as the other teams in terms of victory,” he added.

“The only thing I dream of is to win. We are fighting for positions we cannot dream of much, but we are confident about the future.
The team has the right motivation and that is needed if we are fighting for the championship, ”concluded Leclerc.
Ferrari is currently fighting for P3 in the championship with McLaren. And they hope to top the grid with new cars in 2022.
