Charlotte De Witte played her new album on the Mugello circuit owned by Ferrari

Charlotte De Witte is perhaps the greatest DJ in the world right now. She is known for her fast and furious kind of techno, a type of electronic dance music. And now she has worked with both the Scuderia Ferrari team and F1. Earlier this week she performed live on Ferrari’s own Mugello track in Tuscany, which also hosted the team’s 1,000th GP last year. Alongside this, De Witte also created a playlist for the F1, which is full of fast-paced and furious tracks not intended for the faint of heart, including a new single from their new EP “Formula” that contains samples of sounds from F1 cars.

The Belgian DJ, who also recently performed to three full shows in India in March before the second COVID spike lockdowns were performed, was one of the fastest rising stars in the world of electronic dance music.

Her fast, high BPM tracks and precise DJing style have made her one of the greatest DJs in the world with her headlining festivals like Tomorrowland. This is not her first experience with Formula 1. She was previously invited to Spa-Francorchamps in her home country Belgium.

“I’ve always been a big fan of high speed, high adrenaline. I’ve always loved motorcycles and skiing, so I’ve always been fascinated by high adrenaline and high speed sports. I think when I got that.” I was invited to take part in the Formula 1 race at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. It was a confirmation of that feeling. I absolutely enjoyed it. It was amazing to see these cars go by and just be there and have the vibe and atmosphere that a Formula 1 race has, “she said.

“Besides, it was around the same time [at Spa] that I rediscovered DJ Visage’s track, which is also called Formula, and I think these two aspects inspired me so much to create a ‘Race’ EP that uses all of these twist and motor sounds and thus techno -Tracks makes. I’m so massively inspired and I’m a huge fan of everything that has to do with Formula 1 and racing, “she said of the inspiration behind her new track, which is also on the playlist.

The new EP was released on April 29th, paired with a 1-hour 30-minute live performance at the beginning and at the end directly for Mugello. The video shows De Witte exiting the pit lane and performing at the start / finish line in front of a Scarlett Ferrari. Their performance was also followed by the Ferrari F1 duo of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz Jr. The playlist is also available on Spotify and Apple Music, which are also officially promoted by F1.
