
Sebastian Vettel and Mick Schumacher developed a wonderful relationship in 2021. We often saw the two Germans talking to each other during the track walks and pre-race interviews. It was recently announced that Mick will be Ferarri’s substitute driver in the 2022 season. He will act as a reserve driver if the team’s other reserve driver, Antonio Giovinazzi, is absent. Vettel mentioned that the move could be a wonderful learning experience for the young German.

Sebastian Vettel gives Mick Schumacher wise advice regarding his move to Ferarri
The four-time world champion spent six years at Ferrari in his career. From 2015 to 2020 he won 14 races with the team, but Vettel regards his time in the team as a failure because he could not win the world championship with the team.
When asked whether he would like to see Mick on the Ferarri team in the future, Vettel replied in the affirmative.

“Yes, absolutely. Even if I didn’t have much success there. But I still had good years. And the brand will always be something special. I wouldn’t advise against the few things that didn’t go so well for me.
People tend to see the glass always half empty in memories. I prefer to see it half full and the positives predominate. Too much grumbling is out of place because all of us Formula 1 drivers are doing very well on the bottom line, ”said Vettel.
