According to The Race, Ferrari has done quite a bit in 2021 as they battle for 3rd place in the Constructors’ Championship with McLaren and also took pole positions and a podium for Sainz in Monaco.

“We are focusing on 2022. We have already converted most of our resources to it. That doesn’t mean that some details in the car won’t change in 2021. But the focus is on the next year. If you want to come up with a number, if you want to call it 90% or 95%, we’re pretty much right there, ”said Laurent Mekies, Ferrari Race Director.

Ferrari is making two parallel development changes to the engines for 2022. The first development concerns the engine they will use in 2021. The current engine shows good performance progress on the test benches. But they’re more excited to work on the second development.
