The 2020 F1 season saw Ferrari experience one of the worst F1 seasons in its decorated history. Sixth in the constructors’ championship, fans wondered where the Italian team would go from there.
However, they have achieved some excellent results this season to battle for third place with McLaren. And since Formula 1 heralds a new era with new technical regulations, the Maranello team intends to return to the forefront of the sport.

Reports provide an update on Ferrari’s progress through 2022
Ahead of this year’s British Grand Prix, F1 revealed what each team’s cars will look like from next season. For that to happen, the teams have to work a lot harder on every aspect of the car, especially the design.

In the past, the Maranello-based team struggled to develop an aerodynamically healthy car. However, according to Italian journalist Giuliano Duchessa, Ferrari made progress on the nose and also made drawings of various critical aspects of the car.
He said, “The front wing / nose is now defined and will be quite aggressive and very different from what we saw at Silverstone as we hear from a reliable source. As for the drawings, the fuel tank, chassis, and suspensions are now complete. Everything is always relative, but we are satisfied with the data from the simulator. “

Duchessa believes Ferrari doesn’t know if they can fight for the title in 2022

Although Ferrari’s progress looks exciting, everyone will start from the same point next season. Hence, Duchessa admitted that no one, not even Ferrari themselves, is aware that their efforts will pay off over the next year.

“Nobody knows whether the Ferrari 674” [the name given to the project] will be competitive to win, not even Maranello knows but from the signals collected it seems that we can expect something pretty brave for 2022, ”said Duchessa.

As long as there is still time for the next season, Ferrari will try to end this season on a high note. With Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz’s cars fitted with fresh engines, there will likely be an uphill battle between the Italian team and McLaren for third place in the last six races.
