Report: Mercedes has started testing the chassis tests for its F1 car in 2022

Mercedes is perhaps the dominant team in the Formula 1 field. The Brackley team has won eight constructors’ titles and is already preparing for the battle for the coming season.

The team has already launched its challenger for 2022, the W13. And now concentrate on their roller dynamometer. With the Silver Arrows ahead of their rivals next season, it is sure to be an adrenaline-fueled season.

The team led by Toto Wolff is known for building the dominant cars in the F1 field. The team has earned eight design engineering titles since the hybrid era. On the way to the new racing era, the Silver Arrows are preparing for the 2022 season.

While most of the teams use the Christmas break to recover from the season, Mercedes was busy cheering on their W13 and, according to Formula 1 reporter Giuliano Duchessa, work on the roller dynamometer has started.

How did the Silver Arrows develop in 2021?

The Brackley team fought an intense battle with Red Bull throughout the season, both in the constructors ‘and in the drivers’ standings. Lewis Hamilton took eight wins, five pole positions and seventeen podiums, while Valtteri Bottas took one win, four pole positions and eleven podiums.

Hamilton earned 387.5 points and Bottas scored 226 points, adding up to a total of 613.5 for the Silver Arrows, which they used to win the constructors ‘championship but miss the drivers’ championship.

With the 2022 season in a few months’ time, the Brackley-based team is looking forward to the winter break and will come back strengthened as the new line-up between Hamilton and George Russell gives them a boost for the coming season.
