The best online sim racers will have to face one of the toughest tests in all of motorsport when they compete on the 12.94 miles and 154 corners of the demanding Nordschleife.
As a preview of the third round of the online championship on November 13th, a route guide to the 8 hours of the Nürburgring with the beautiful “AF Corse” was created in cooperation with LEGO® Technic ![]()

The track layout for this online contest begins with the Nürburgring Grand Prix loop, before the racing drivers turn left on the back straight after the chicane and onto the famous Nordschleife track. After the first sequence of corners, cars like the LM GTE Ferrari 488 will reach speeds of nearly 270 mph before crowning their foreheads at the super-fast airfield.
When the drivers drive into the demanding bends through the Adenauer Wald, they will soon appear at the iconic carousel, the notoriously hard hairpin bend that has a change in the track surface and where the racers have to hug the tip of the long bend to the left – dealer.
On the loop back to the pits there is a series of high-speed corners where even the smallest mistakes are punished immediately. At Brunnchen, racers have to be careful not to run too far and to keep their line perfectly through the S-curves named after the former Formula 1 and sports car ace Stefan Bellof.
Ultimately, the long back straight will reward those riders who sacrificed downforce for less drag in order to ensure maximum speeds at the end of the 12.94-mile lap. The Nordschleife is considered to be one of the greatest tests for a driver. In eight hours, the participants will complete around 153 laps on the German circuit, with the fastest lap for an LM GTE machine expected to be six minutes and 40 seconds.
The start of the Le Mans Virtual Series began in September with the 4 Hours of Monza, which were won by the real team Hydrogen Redline. Round two at Spa last month was won by Team Redline after 172 racing laps in six hours. BMW Team Redline also won GTE honors, which went to the Porsche Esports Team in Monza.
There are a total of five events in the newly revised series, culminating in an exciting live TV grand finale at the Autosport International Show 2022 with prize money of 250,000 US dollars.
