The seven-time world champion entered the world of Formula 1 in 1991 with the Jordan 191 designed by Gary Anderson. However, Michael only took part in one race weekend for Jordan during the entire season.

His chance came at the Belgian Grand Prix; Jordan announced a driver change after Bertrand Gachot was sentenced to prison.

Schumacher took over the seat and qualified with a promising P7. For Jordan it was the best starting position of all time when the German left his teammate Andrea de Cesaris behind, who finished in 11th place.

Michael was looking for a decent start to the race, but barely made it past Eau Rouge. He then drove on a decent P6 when the clutch failed in his Jordan, leading to a climatic end to his F1 debut.

This began one of the most famous racing careers for an F1 driver. Will his son Mick therefore continue to drive more of his F1 cars that contain exciting stories and facts?
