Michael Schumacher's documentary will be released on Netflix in September

The Schumacher family has approved the official documentary about the career and life of Michael Schumacher. SCHUMACHER is expected to be broadcast on Netflix on September 15, 2021. Here’s what we know about the biopic.

The release date is just 30 years after its Formula 1 debut of the German Formula 1 legend in Belgium. However, the biopic will trace the life of Michael Schumacher from the early days of his career when he lived in Kerpen and was a rising star in karting. From there, fans can review the career of one of the best drivers who have ever driven in Formula 1. Michael Schumacher is considered by many to be the best modern Formula 1 driver.

The viewers are promised a story that brings them closer to the complex personality of the seven-time world champion. The film’s producers recorded interviews with Michael’s two children, Mick and Gina, and his wife Corinna Schumacher. According to Sabine Kehm, Schumacher’s long-time press officer, this film is the family’s gift to her beloved husband and father.

Of course, as in the Senna biopic, viewers can see interviews with Schumacher’s greatest rivals from back then as well as other important names in Formula 1. Therefore we will also be Ralf Schumacher, Jean Todt (FIA boss and former team boss), Luca di Montezemolo (former Ferrari boss), Bernie Ecclestone (former F1 boss) as well as David Coulthard, Sebastian Vettel and Mika Häkkinen.

The Finn is one of the few who managed to get two F1 world titles during Schumacher’s reign in Formula 1. The other two drivers that Michael Schumacher could beat in his best ears in Formula 1 were Damon Hill in 1996 and Jacque Villeneuve in 1997. Michael Schumacher has five Formula 1 world championship titles in a row to date, more than ever before.

The Schumacher film is directed by Hanns-Bruno Kammertöns, Vanessa Nöcker and Michael Wech, who are also the scriptwriters, while Benjamin Seikel and Vanessa Nöcker are the producers. The latter two are responsible for a documentary about the German tennis legend Boris Becker.
