Michael Schumacher’s close friend and former boss Jean Todt has revealed how he still visits the ailing F1 star twice a month.
Todt and Schumacher formed one of F1’s great partnerships during a golden era for Ferrari at the turn of the millennium.
Schumacher won five consecutive drivers’ world championships under Todd’s leadership from 2000 to 2004, with Ferrari collecting 14 titles (driver and manufacturer) with the French at the top.
Despite his overall success with Ferrari, Todt will be forever associated with Schumacher, with the pair forging a close bond both on track and on the track.
Even after the German’s horror skiing accident in 2013, Todt remains incredibly loyal to his close friend and former Ferrari colleague.

“I see Michael at least twice a month,” Todt told the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera when asked how the pandemic affected his relationship with Schumacher.
“I won’t leave him alone,” said Todt. “He, (wife) Corinna, the family – we have had so many experiences together.
“The beauty of what we’ve experienced is part of us and it goes on.”
Todt was asked about Schumacher after checking the German’s name as he spoke about his own future after his tenure as FIA president ends later that year.
“I have a lot of responsibilities: road safety for the United Nations, President of the Aung San Suu Kyi Foundation and then the International Peace Institute.
“I am on the boards of banks, cinemas and hotels. And I’m proud to have founded the Research Institute for Brain and Spinal Cord, to which Michael Schumacher contributed. “
Schumacher’s health remains largely a mystery after his crash in the French ski resort of Meribel.
