Max Verstappen is on the pole, yet again! The Dutchman hath shone brightly once more, this time on his home turf. As the 2021 F1 champion has proved himself the fastest on Saturday, fans take digs at Red Bull and their driver Sergio Perez after his shocking and unfortunate crash.

Formula 1 is in the Netherlands for the 15th round of the 2022 season. The pinnacle form of motorsport has reached the European country where Max Verstappen looks to extend his championship lead over his teammate Sergio Perez, the Ferrari duo as well as the Mercedes duo.

The Red Bull star driver clocked 1:10.342 to start from P1 in tomorrow’s race. As compared to the Dutchman, the Ferrari duo of Leclerc and Sainz finished a couple of hundreds behind to start from P2 and P3, respectively. Interestingly, it was Perez who had the chance to dethrone all top 3 had he finished his final qualifying race.

Sergio Perez who ultimately lost his control just before the final corner had brilliant sector 1 and sector 2. The purple and green sectors meant he was in a position to challenge the top 3. Unfortunately, the Mexican spun and qualified in P5 for tomorrow’s race.

The F1 fans took to Twitter to share some hilarious reactions to the Sergio Perez situation and how it cemented Max Verstappen’s hold on to the pole.

Even though the Ferrari duo looked to be at par with the Bulls, Verstappen’s pace was too much to handle for them in the end. The same was for Perez until his slide that diminished his hopes of being better than them.

As it stands, Verstappen is in a supreme position to extend his lead over every other driver following him on the leaderboard. However, it’ll be interesting to see how Perez reacts to the race after his disappointing slide on Saturday.
