Max Verstappen against the F1 media interaction efficiency
In the 2022 season, F1 drivers have a pre-race press conference ahead of the Friday practice, followed by many independent interviews with different media outlets. The reigning champion Verstappen has showcased his reservation against the current manner of media interaction. Max reveals that all the individual media ask them the same question.
So, the Dutch driver shares he enjoys answering them at first, but after five-six times, it gets boring for him. Instead of answering the same question repeatedly to different media, Max asks for a collective media interaction that many other sports do. Max believes it will keep the media interactions exciting and efficient.
Verstappen said, “In other sports, when they have a press conference, there are a lot of mics brought together, and instead of giving the broadcasters two questions each, they all have six, eight, ten questions in one go, and they can all broadcast it.”

“That’s way more efficient and nicer for everyone. It doesn’t matter if you have 20 mics from all different companies. You get a lot more out of the drivers,” Max further continued.
Undoubtedly, it was a sound idea from the reigning F1 champion to improve the media interactions. It will also help the drivers to focus more on their driving, and their race weekend will be less tiring.
