The fighting has been neck to neck for the most part, which may have led the British to desperately seek the added pace. One of his options was to follow his rival’s interesting driving technique, which has been quite common among drivers over the past few decades.
Apparently the former Ferrari driver Vettel visualized a lap on the back of his head, which consequently helped him to get more contact with the racetrack and to set much better lap times.

And after hearing this interesting and possibly groundbreaking skill, Hamilton tried it. What was the end result? Did it work out for the Mercedes driver?
Well, the 7-time world champion said that such techniques are at least a “garbage load” for him. However, he also emphasized that visualizing a round of Vettel was very good.
What did Lewis Hamilton say?
During an interview with Martin Brundle from Sky Sports, Hamilton discussed the technology that ultimately turned out to be “useless” to him.
“I think that’s a lot of rubbish,” said Hamilton. “I don’t want to knock it because it may have worked for some people. I remember Seb doing that and imagining a lap. I tried and it was useless to me. So again, it’s about figuring out what works for you. “
Hamilton and Vettel had many controversial moments on the track in their 2010s fights. But the duo seemed to have worked their way through.
And now they’ve managed to create a pretty inseparable bond, both off track and on course. But what is missing now are their juicy duels.
