Lewis Hamilton is arguably one of the greatest drivers in Formula 1 history. With seven world titles, it’s hard to ignore his credentials to be called the “Greatest Ever” in F1.

The Briton consistently draws comparisons with the F1 legend Michael Schumacher after reaching his world championship last season. The debate between the two seems to be endless as both drivers have compelling arguments to be called the best. A former team boss gave his two cents which of the two drivers is the best.

For me, it’s Lewis Hamilton: Eddie Jordan

Eddie Jordan founded the Jordan Grand Prix team in 1991, which lasted until 2005. His team made his F1 debut for the legendary Michael Schumacher before moving to Benetton.

The 73-year-old recently gave his verdict on who he considers the best between Hamilton and Schumacher. Surprisingly, the founder of the Jordan Grand Prix believes Hamilton will win the argument for him.

The Irishman said: “Both are unique so I’m almost schizophrenic when I have to pick a winner, but I’m going to Hamilton.”

Eddie Jordan pointed out important issues that arose during Schumacher’s reign which he believed helped in his decision between the two drivers.

He said: “I remember how much Michael suffered when Benetton was accused in 1994 of using a prohibited traction control system. And his time at Ferrari was not entirely without someone pointing a finger at the team.”

Since Hamilton is leading the championship this season, he has every chance to improve the German record. However, Red Bull and Max Verstappen are poised to push the British forward until the end of 2021.
