Lewis Hamilton Makes Hilarious George Russell Instagram Mistake Amid Mercedes Rumors | F1 | Sports

Mercedes will shortly confirm who will drive alongside Lewis Hamilton for the next season, with George Russell fighting hard to replace Valtteri Bottas on the hotseat. And he didn’t do his favor at all last Sunday after finishing second in a chaotic Belgian Grand Prix.

Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff has announced that he has made his decision on second place next season and it has certainly been a hot topic of conversation all weekend at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium.

And with the F1 touring circuit heading to the Netherlands this weekend, and talks have subsided for the time being, Hamilton has done everything possible to ensure that Mercedes’s decision remains a big talking point.

On Tuesday evening, the seven-time world champion uploaded a cute photo of him next to his beloved dog Roscoe on the couch on Hamilton’s Instagram account.

However, fans quickly realized that Hamilton was not tagging his dog’s Instagram account, but instead used Russell’s Social Medga tag.

In his post-race column, Brawn said, “We all know George Russell has fantastic talent. We’ve seen it a lot at Williams and we’ve seen it reinforced at Mercedes when he represented Lewis Hamilton at the Sakhir Grand Prix.” last year.

“George’s performance reminded me a lot of Fernando Alonso when he drove for Minardi in a wet spa in 2001.

“He was mighty impressive in a car that was clearly not up to the job. Under these conditions, the relationship between driver and car changes – and we saw that with George on Saturday.

“He doesn’t have a car in the front row, but in these difficult qualifying conditions he beat people with far better cars than he had. From my point of view, Mercedes will only have one decision next year when it comes to second seat. “
