McLaren has a rich history of drivers who have driven for their team. Greats like Ayrton Senna, James Hunt and Alain Prost have all ridden for the Woking-based outfit. While revered as the legends of the sport, none of them have achieved what Lando Norris just did.

The 21-year-old has set a record for most consecutive points scored for the team. The young Brit is currently hoping for a 15-point streak and is hoping to score more and help the team in the constructors’ championship.

The McLaren driver had another points result last weekend; At the British Grand Prix – his home race – he finished fourth. With a fourth place and twelve points, he was the only driver in the history of the Woking team to achieve consecutive 15-point placements.

In addition to a McLaren streak, Lando has also managed to establish a streak among the current drivers this season; he remains the only driver this season to have scored points in every race so far.

The Brit took three podiums for the team this season

Norris has helped the Papaya team score crucial points for the championship this season. The 21-year-old has also made it onto the podium three times this year.

The first was at the Emilia GP, where he had to fend off Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc to finish third and score 15 points for the team. He later reached a podium at the prestigious Monaco Grand Prix, beating Red Bull’s Sergio Perez to P3.

Most recently it was at the Austrian Grand Prix, where he only clinched his first podium finish in Formula 1 last year. In 2021, the Brit had to keep his compatriot Lewis Hamilton in the rearview mirror to bring home another third place for the team.

Norris has improved his pace at every Grand Prix this season and hopes to take McLaren to the next level and fight for the title.
