Haas’ jump to the mid-field this year has been in the spotlight this year. From not being able to score any points last year to consistently qualifying into Q2, the team has seen it all. The American outfit has gone through some tough times before the season began. They lost a major sponsor, serious financial backing, and even a driver.

Hence, this sudden Haas glow-up has been shocking for many. The team is now competing with the likes of Formula One giants Mercedes, with such severity that Lewis Hamilton was also left dumbfounded when Kevin Magnussen blazed past him in Jeddah. They managed a sensational comeback in the form of Kevin Magnussen, who arrived 11 days before the first race and stood P5 in the season opener.

Haas is taking everyone’s breath away
This big jump from backmarkers to trailblazers was sure to raise some big doubts. Mercedes boss, Toto Wolff had some questions regarding the relationship that Haas and Ferrari share. He called for a reform and said, “Everybody deserves to perform well and people should get credit when they’ve done a good job.”

There have been some complications regarding Haas’ use of Ferrari wind tunnels. Moreover, many are raising doubts that maybe Ferrari has cooperated with the American team a lot more than it is allowed. The cars can share the same power units, but certain ‘listed team components’ have to be designed by the team itself. Thankfully, despite sharing a striking resemblance to the blazing Ferrari F1-75, Haas has different aerodynamics.

Guenther Steiner comes to defend his team
As the aerodynamics works in their argument, team principal Guenther Steiner rubbishes other rumors. He very confidently claimed, “We have got the FIA at our place more often than you think”. However, until and unless the FIA looks into the matter, Haas can keep rocking on the grid.
