In the course of the 2021 season, several Formula 1 teams gave a Grand Prix weekend a one-off paint job. McLaren did it in Monaco and Red Bull recently did it in Turkey. And with their latest social media post, fans are wondering if the famous Italian team Ferrari are up to the same thing.

The Scuderia teased on Twitter whether they could possibly get a new one-off livery this season. Last season at Mugello, the Italian team had a burgundy paint job and fans are wondering if they expect something similar this year as well.
Ferrari hints at a one-time paint job this season

The Formula 1 community always loves it when a team brings a unique livery to a Grand Prix. Recently, Red Bull brought a white paint job to the Turkish Grand Prix to honor Honda. Now that the Italian team has teased a new paint job, fans are eagerly awaiting what it is.
Ferrari wrote on Twitter: “Mumble, marble, how can I tell him? Stay tuned.”
The Tifosi can’t wait to see what Ferrari has in store for them, at such a high scale from last season’s one-off livery that they hope the Italian team will step up their livery game this season as well.

An uphill battle with McLaren this season

There is no doubt that the most attractive fight this season will be between Red Bull and Mercedes. Another major battle between the teams in the Constructors’ Championship, however, is that between McLaren and Ferrari.

For third place in the overall standings, the two pushed each other to the limit. The team from Woking is currently in third place in the table, while the Italian is in fourth place.

However, there is only a 7.5 point gap between the two. With the upcoming United States Grand Prix, Ferrari hopes to fill the void while McLaren aims to extend its lead and maintain third place in the championship.
