Formula 1: Ferrari launches fashion collection

Ferrari will explore the clothing range after the success on the racetracks. At the end of last week, the Italian racing car manufacturer Ferrari launched a range of ready-to-wear clothing. Ferrari has been part of racing history for 74 years, especially Formula 1 racing. His characteristic Rosso Corsa (“racing red”) and the black and yellow prancing horse are symbols of elegance recognized worldwide. In order to open up up-and-coming businesses and to address a broader group of buyers, the group is expanding its product portfolio.

The first collection of Formula 1 outfits was on display in Maranello, designed by creative director Rocco Lannone and featuring structured outerwear in contrast to flowing, brightly printed silks in Ferrari red, Scuderia yellow and electric blue. Rocco Iannone, the collection’s designer, spoke ahead of the show and said that Ferrari’s luxury clothing line was designed to grow our fan base, including younger generations and women in particular.

Ferrari focused on largely unisex things influenced by the lines of the cars they produce in 52 looks. In collaboration with the current partners of the racing team such as Puma and Ray-Ban, Lannone produced special editions of shoes and glasses to complete the entire appearance from head to toe.

The Ferrari F1 team signed a mega-agreement with Giorgio Armani in March 2021, with the latter providing drivers with all off-track activities and travel clothing. As part of a personal marketing agreement with the Italian suit manufacturer, Ferrari driver Charles LeClerc was also the face of Armani’s Made-to-Measure campaign. Ferrari chairman Joh Elkann insisted that the launch of the clothing range was a sign of growth and renewal for Ferrari and Italy.

“Ferrari wants to work for Italian excellence and the best creativity in our country. Today’s fashion show in our factory and the openings of the Ferrari store and the Cavallino restaurant in Maranello are signs of a strong and optimistic Italy, ready for growth and renewal. “

The coats were combined with silky midi skirts in new Ferrari patterns that featured collages of historic racing cars as well as the Ferrari insignia. The youthful streetwear feeling was refined with huge Ferrari insignia on shirts and wide shorts with fluorescent tape or loose-fitting pants that are attached to the ankle in a sporty way. This year the Seasonless series will appear in six parts, with 80 percent of the pieces being genderless and being offered in sizes from XXXS to XXXL. The introduction of the clothing range is another avenue for further commercialization Ferrari and add more sources of income.
