
Ferrari will return to its roots in 2023. The famous Italian brand announces the return to the top sports car competition alongside its F1 program.
Ferrari, which has won a total of nine awards and a total of 36 victories as well as 24 world titles at the Le Mans 24 Hours, has started developing a car for the brand new Le Mans hypercar class that will top the class of FIA endurance racing -World Championship.

The announcement comes fifty years after Ferrari’s last official participation in the premier class of the sports car world championship in 1973.
“After a phase of investigation and analysis, Ferrari has started development of the new LMH vehicle to include the design and simulation phase over the past few weeks,” said a statement. “The track testing program, the name of the car and the drivers that make up the official crews will be part of future announcements.”
Ferrari President John Elkann added: “In over 70 years of racing on circuits around the world, we have led our closed-wheeled cars to victory by researching cutting-edge technological solutions: innovations that come from the track and every road car produce in Maranello extraordinary.
