According to the Italian edition of Motorsport Network, the 2022 Ferrari F1 car reportedly passed crash tests. The prancing horse’s 2022 car passed the frontal crash test organized by the FIA and conducted at the CSI center in Bollate, the report said.

Ferrari has seen a surge in performance since the final quarter of the 2021 season when they added a new hybrid system to their cars along with the last engine change of the year. The team had mentioned that it would shift its focus to the new car from 2022 as early as May 2021.

The team from Maranello, which finished third in the championship in 2021, aims to fight back at the top after its performance decline since the second half of 2019. Binotto also announced that its Challenger 2022 will be unveiled from February 16-18, 2022.

Speaking to the Italian edition of Motorsport Network, Ferrari boss Mattia Binotto said:

“How many races do we want to win? When I say that as Ferrari we always have to strive for the best, as much as possible, we don’t want to start an off-season in terms of expectations. What we’re going to tell ourselves internally is that we want to win as many races as possible. ”

The 52-year-old manager outlined his goals for the 2022 season:
