After Ferrari had completed an initial cheering for the new car for the 2021 season on Friday morning, Ferrari announced that it would hold two launch events in the coming weeks before the new season.
Ferrari F1 boss Mattia Binotto announced in December that the team plans to split its launch events in 2021 and hold an event for the team and a separate event to unveil the car.
These dates have now been set for February 26th and March 10th, respectively; the first look at the car follows just two days before the start of the test drives in Bahrain.
This makes Ferrari the sixth team to announce its starting plans before the new season. Red Bull, Alpine, Aston Martin and Haas are the only teams that have yet to release dates.
Ferrari accompanied the announcement with a short video of the fire, which will be completed at its Maranello plant.
Shortly before cheering, Binotto spoke to the entire Ferrari team, with the majority of the members tuning in to follow the event via video call.
“Our 2021 season starts here,” said Binotto. “We can expect many challenges along the way and are determined to do better.
“The car has been improved in all areas where developments are allowed.
“We have to work determined and focused and know where we have been and where we are going.”
Ferrari heads into the 2021 season to recover from its worst season in 40 years after falling back to sixth place in last year’s championship and only taking three podiums.
