The Italian, who is the only surviving son of Ferrari founder Enzo, believes the F1 needs to be better balanced in how it is presented to fans because he believes great elements of it are being overlooked.
He believes that Formula 1’s fastest cars don’t seem like that on TV, and he has wondered why teams are spending millions developing cars just to keep their innovations private.
“With the effects of the pandemic, it is not possible to follow F1 except on television,” Ferrari told Motorsport.com.
“We have the fastest single seaters in history, but the images that come to us on the television don’t convey the sensations you experience on the racetrack and can see them in real life. What the people, the fans encounter, is something different.
“These are F1 cars that go over 330 km / h, but when you look at them on screen, you don’t feel like they are any different speed than Formula 2.
“Then I wonder what large amounts are good for [technical] Solutions that add little to the show? “

When asked that many of F1’s innovations are not explained because teams like to keep things a secret, Ferrari said, “Of course, because some ideas are protected by patents. But we spend terrifying amounts and then keep everything under lock and key. Can you explain to me what the point is? “
Ferrari says he remains in regular contact with former F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone, and the two agree that current grand prix racing bosses need to look into things to make it better for the fans.
“I recently spoke about it with Bernie Ecclestone, who I speak to from time to time on the phone,” added Ferrari.
“Formula 1 has to be a sport that has to offer a show that entertains the fans. We have very fast single seaters with very advanced technology, but does anyone know about it? “
