
F1 has finally made it to the Americas after circling Europe and Asia this season. And next in line is the United States Grand Prix, slated for later this week at the Circuit of The Americas.

As a result, quite a few drivers decided to land in the States much earlier to enjoy sightseeing. Two of them are Pierre Gasly from AlphaTauri and Charles Leclerc, the two-time Ferrari Grand Prix winner.

The two F1 drivers visited the Fiserv Forum Arena in Milwaukee on Tuesday evening for the first NBA game of the 2021/22 season between the home team Milwaukee Bucks and Brooklyn Nets.
Bucks managed to crush Nets amid an incredibly dominant performance from Greek striker Giannis Antetokounmpo, who amassed a total of 32 points from 14 rebounds and 7 assists.

Interestingly, Gasly and Leclerc’s visit to an American game comes days after George Russell and Alex Albon visited Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to watch the NFL game between the Miami Dolphins and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
NBA legend joins F1 drivers Leclerc and Gasly for the game
In an image posted on social media, Leclerc and Gasly posed alongside former San Antonio Spurs player Tony Parker.
The Frenchman holds breathtaking records in the game, including four league titles in 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2014. In addition, the former point guard player has made six appearances in the NBA All-Star.
Leclerc took to Instagram to post a story of last night’s game. He wrote: “What a game! A big thank you to Tony Parker and Rob Nelson (North Rock CEO). “
Similarly, Gasly wrote, “Thank you Tony Parker and Rob Nelson for inviting me! What a great game! Milwaukee Bucks. “

Overall, the focus is now shifting to the upcoming racing weekend in the COTA. Leclerc, amid recent form and Ferrari’s breathtaking pace, is certainly capable of battling for a podium spot alongside Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez. In the meantime, Gasly could envision another subtle weekend.

P6 was the number for the French! Gasly qualified around six times in P6 and was able to finish the race three times in the same position. With AlphaTauri showing promising signs in Turkey, can Gasly take advantage of the pace again to secure a strong finish in the US?
