The sport made a bad choice today: Lewis Hamilton
The Belgian Grand Prix created a lot of controversy in motorsport for the way it happened. Many, including Lewis Hamilton, have criticized the race director and Stewarts for how it was handled. Hamilton blatantly stated that the two laps of the race were held because of the money factor in the sport.
“We should have stopped it, not risking drivers and most importantly, we should have paid back fans who are the heart of our sport,” said Lewis.

The FIA awarded half points to the team and driver, so Verstappen closed the gap on Hamilton. Hamilton now leads the championship by just three points over the Dutch GP.
