Juventus Football Club has hired former Ferrari F1 team boss Maurizio Arrivabene as top manager.
Arrivabene was head of the Ferrari team from 2014 to 2019 before being replaced by current team boss Mattia Binotto.
Although Arrivabene has been an independent board member of Juventus FC since 2012 and the club is now looking to stabilize its finances after the impact of the global pandemic, Arrivabene has been appointed chairman of the board and will “oversee the entire football business and” oversee all related powers “.
Arrivabene will reportedly be heavily focused on growing the club’s sales.
The Board of Directors has analyzed the effects of the Covid 19 pandemic on the three years 2019/22 and defined the guidelines for a capital increase. Maurizio Arrivabene to oversee the football area.

His departure from Ferrari after the end of the 2018 season was fraught with controversy as there were disagreements within the team, despite Ferrari President John Elkann denying such rumors at the time.
“The appointment of Mattia Binotto as team boss of Scuderia Ferrari does not represent a” reversal “in sports management and does not result from alleged differences of opinion within the team,” Elkann wrote earlier in the Italian magazine Gazzetta dello Sport.
“On the contrary, it is a decision by the company in agreement with Maurizio Arrivabene, who in the four years of his tenure in this position has worked tirelessly to bring Scuderia back to the level of competitiveness it deserves.”
In the 2017 and 2018 seasons Ferrari rose to the title challenger, although they lost in both in the battle for the driver and constructor titles against Mercedes.
But Ferrari’s fortune has not improved since Arrivabene’s departure.
2019 was at its best for a short period of time, until a technical guideline for engines coincided with Ferrari’s rapid demise, while in 2020 the team fell back to the lower end of the midfield.
Fortunately, 2021 was a more positive campaign when Ferrari finished P2 over Carlos Sainz in Monaco while battling McLaren for P3 in the Constructors’ Championship.
